Review // Sleek: Contour Kit

I purchased the Sleek Face Contour Kit at the same time as I purchased my beloved Brow Kit. It was the second most recommended Sleek product when I asked on Twitter so I placed it in my Cloud10Beauty basket and gave it a go. The contour kit comes in 3 shades, Light, Medium and Dark, I chose Light as I'm quite pale.

The packaging, like all Sleek products is a matte black mirrored compact. The kit itself contains two pressed powders, a matte contour shade and a shimmery highlight shade.

Sleek really hit the nail on the head with the contour shade. Not a hint of shimmer, frost or glitter, it’s a true matte and perfect medium for those with a fair skin tone. It's not too warm toned that it will make you look like you have orange stripes on your face, nor is it too cool toned that you'll look gaunt and grey. The pigmentation is good, its not as pigmented as the likes of Hoola by Benefit, but that what makes this palette great. For people who want a little bit of subtle contour here and there, its perfect and for those who want more, it can be built up for more depth and dimension in.
It also blends beautifully on the skin, which is half the battle with contouring.

The highlighter is a beautiful champagne shade also quite neutral toned so will work on all skin tones. Again its nicely pigmented and more importantly, its very finely milled, so you won't have any chunky glitter adorning your face. Not the look we're after, unless of course that IS the look your after. Used subtly it gives the face the most beautiful sheen but like the contour shade it can be build up to give a more dramatic look.

Whether its for contouring, highlighting or both, this little palette is used everyday and I can't recommend it enough. Price wise, its on point, much like all Sleek products, at only €7.99 on Cloud10Beauty.

On a little side note, the contour kit comes with a little leaflet showing you how to use the products. Which is a great little feature to have especially for the price!

Have you tried this Contour Kit before? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, so comment below!

  1. I have this too but found the contour slightly too dark for my skin tone. Love the highlighter though! Such good value.
